Practical information forest cabins

How to fire the stove properly

Only place wood in the small chamber, at the top left of the stove. Not in the large one.

The ash will fall into the bottom chamber. Only use kindling wood, and one or two firestarters in the beginning. To adjust the airflow, use the vent at the front of the stove.

Once you get your fire started, you can add one or two larger logs. Always make sure the stove door is properly closed. The stove is old and needs to be fired cautiously. Do not move the rings on top of the stove. Good luck!

You will find more firing wood in the cabin, or in the stable (the other door outside). If you are going to split more wood, there is an axe in the stable.

Be careful! Please note that use of the axe is done at your own risk.
